The annual Study Abroad Program is a coveted international externship, offering you the opportunity to travel to Asia for a period of two to four weeks. You will receive specialized Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and integrative medicine training in an affiliated hospital and outpatient center at one of our sister schools in China, Korea, Taiwan, or Vietnam.
You will learn from highly knowledgeable doctors and clinical experts who possess a strong knowledge of the theories and clinical applications of TCM. You can complete up to 25% of your clinical training requirement, and specialize in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Pediatrics, Gynecology, or TCM Trauma.
This valuable international experience will complement your academic curriculum, broaden your perspective of the Asian culture, and be highly regarded by future employers.
After training in the hospital, join faculty and fellow students on daily excursions to historical sites, shopping, tasting local cuisine or enjoying the area’s scenic gardens, pagodas and museums.
