Instructor Introduction
Huang Huang, a nationally famous Chinese medicine practitioner, is the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the International School of Classics and Prescriptions of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the representative inheritor of the Longsha medical school of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the 1980s, he was mainly engaged in the teaching and research of the academic school of traditional Chinese medicine. After the 1990s, he focused on the standardized research and modern application research of Jingfangfangzheng, and devoted himself to the popularization and promotion of Jingfang. He advocated the "prescription-patient-patient diagnosis and treatment model" based on prescriptions and syndromes, emphasizing the overall concept and general practice thinking of TCM. He used the vivid "Huang's language" to promote the internationalization and popularization of classic prescription medicine centered on "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" and "Synopsis of the Golden Chamber". Representative academic monographs include "Ten Classes of Prescriptions in Traditional Chinese Medicine", "Zhang Zhongjing's 50 Drugs and Syndrome", "Huang Huang Jing Fang User Manual", "Huang Huang Jing Fang Medical Talk", "Jing Fang Fang Zheng", etc.
Course Description
examine how the Shang Han Lun, and a dynamic approach to the application of the Six Conformation theory applies to the mental and emotional being. The basic format of the Shang Han Lun is symptom, pattern, pulse, and treatment. During the class, we will explore the DSM V and see through its organization to perceive a direct correlation between diagnostic criteria and Chinese medicine formulas and acupuncture treatments
Instructor Introduction
Brandt Stickley has forged a synthesis of classical Han and Tang dynasty herbal medicine and acupuncture with concepts of psychosomatic medicine, body-oriented psychology, neuro-phenomenology, process -oriented philosophy, imaginal, integral and consciousness studies. Brandt's work seeks to establish Chinese medicine as a vital psychosomatic physiosemiotic current in the evolution of consciousness and the alleviation of suffering.
